Our First Internet Safety Roadshow held at EVERTON Football Club in November 2015 was an absolutley outstanding success...
The first Barney & Echo Internet Roadshow has now been delivered and has proved to be a resounding success.

We had almost 200 children and teaching staff from primary schools in Liverpool attend the event and the children experienced a really fun filled and informative day.
The event got off to a great start with ‘Changy the Elephant’ the Everton mascot greeting the children as they arrived.
Throughout the day interactive presentations were given by Merseyside Police, E-Cadets and Discovery Education.

The energy and excitement was evident to see as the children participated in a variety of activities including designing an e-safety poster and quizzes to test their e-safety knowledge. Everyone also got an opportunity to interact with the exhibitors who also supported the event through a variety of games and software applications.

Adding to the excitement there was an appearance from Club Ambassador and ex-player, Graham Stuart, who was an FA Cup winner with Everton in 1995. Graham posed for pictures and signed autographs as well as presenting a Junior football kit to one lucky school.

The day ended with great excitement as the children collected a ‘goody bag’ which included lots of items donated by Everton in the Community, Presenters, Exhibitors and the Police Community Clubs.

Every school was also presented with a class set of the Barney & Echo ‘Caught in the Web’ resources to enable them to run e-safety lessons back in the classroom.

The feedback from the schools and everyone else involved on the day has been absolutely incredible, it is evident that this is an event that has helped the children and the teachers to promote e-safety in a novel and exciting way.

We are really looking forward to 2016 when we will be running several more roadshows.
