The internet is an integral part of all of our lives and the age at which children are accessing the internet through a variety of devices is changing as younger children become more technically aware - leading to confusion and exposing children to possible danger.

All interaction with our community carries risk and young children can be ill equipped to deal with the particular dangers that present themselves on a virtual level.

Each Internet Safety Roadshow will address issues such as bullying, personal security and social media which will help children at a young age make good decisions based upon sound educational advice.

The roadshow will be a full School day event starting at 9.30am, with the event closing at 2.30pm - attendance for teachers and children will be free of charge and is open to all Primary and Junior Schools and PRU's within the educational boundary of the roadshow venue. Please note this is an invitation only event.

The event will be exciting and informative with speakers and exhibits from leading figures in the world of internet safety to include;

Cyber, electronic and virtual bullying issues
Parental guidance
Passwords, security and the need for privacy
Social media guidelines
On-line tools and new innovations
How the Caught in the Web programme can help schools free-of-charge

(Caught in the Web is supported by the UK Council for Child Internet Safety and The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre)
