A Friendship Made
| A Friendship Made contains two stories that deal with the separate issues of bullying and vandalism. In the first, Barney is bullied by the other eagles because he looks different to them. However, after he is rescued from a hunter’s trap by Echo Squirrel, he and his new friend set off on an adventure together and learn all about the nature of true friendship.
In the second story, Barney and Echo have to save the day when the local school catches fire and a train heads towards disaster. Some children have been playing with matches and placing logs on the railway line. It sounds like a bad dream and maybe it is… The book is punctuated by activities that develop the learning objectives for the children. A Friendship Made is a fun and interactive support to citizenship education in primary schools. |
